RMP Docent Training & Orientation

Hello Volunteers!

We're so excited you've expressed interest in joining our network of passionate volunteers. This initiative will help us greatly in continuing to cultivate Red Mountain Park as a family-friendly and historically-conscientious greenspace.

What you can expect from this session is a crash course of information including hand-outs of basic park information, FAQ's to expect from visitors, and historical facts and stories you'll be able to inform visitors about. 

We'll also discuss the format of this volunteer position, available shifts, and the pertinent resources that will be at your disposal. We will plan to meet at Red Mountain Park at the Frankfurt Dr entrance, and once everyone has arrived we'll walk to one of our outdoor classrooms near the start of the trails to start the orientation.

Orientation Day Details:

Location: 1211 Frankfurt Dr, Birmingham, AL, 35211 (We will meet by the restroom pavilion at the main entrance and then walk to the Bruno Outdoor Classroom along BMRR South once we have everyone).

When: Saturday, September 12th, 9:30 am - 11:30 am

What to bring: Pen, paper/notepad, (water bottle optional)
