Year of Alabama Invasive Plants Service Workday with ACES

Hello Volunteers!

We're thrilled to invite you to our collaborative program with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES). This is a two part program for those wanting to volunteer with us; the first component will be a walk & talk (from 8:00 to 9:00am) lead by our Land & Water Conservation Director, Charles Yeager, and ACES staff, and the second component will be the workday in which we will remove as much East Asian Privet as we can within a designated area between a 2 to 2 and half hour timeframe. The walk & talk will cover identifying nonnative, invasive plants, discussing effective methods for how to treat them, visiting units where we've treated invasive plant species, etc..

Below you will find the information and descriptions of the workday we have planned and the sign up button next to them. After you've clicked the check box next to the job/shift, click the "Sign Up To Volunteer" button at he bottom of the page. For any questions, please feel free to reach out to me through my email provided below.

Looking forward to seeing you out there!
