Ruffner Mountain Docent Training/Orientation

Hello Volunteers!

We're so excited you've expressed interest in joining our network of passionate volunteers. This initiative will help us greatly in continuing to cultivate Ruffner Mountain as a family-friendly and historically-conscientious greenspace.

What you can expect from this orientation/training is a crash course of information including hand-outs of basic park information, FAQ's to expect from visitors, and historical preserve facts and stories you'll be able to inform visitors about. We'll also discuss the format of this volunteer position, available shifts, and the pertinent resources that will be at your disposal. We will plan to have coffee, donuts, and fresh fruit for everyone so please try to arrive on time so we can get started promptly.

Orientation Day Details:
Location: 1214 81st St S, Birmingham, AL 35206. We will plan to meet at the Ruffner Mountain Pavilion in the parking lot.
When: Saturday, September 13th from 9:30 am -12:30 pm
What to bring: Pen, paper/notepad, questions!
